love, Poetry

Someplace

You’re someplace between
frozen faith and flaccid dream
collared embrace and cornered love
falling down and rising above

the restless harbour, the quiet crowd
the open ending thought aloud
the naked truth, what might have been
what yet could be, if you but lean

one way another, ahead or behind
with eyes unseeing you’ll soon find
you’re always someplace between
loving and leaving, seeing and seen.
